Just in time for Fall and winter Martinsburg Wv art galleries, Queen Street Gallery and Exhibitions Art Gallery receive a fun facelift and improve downtown. I was honestly surprised that the Historical Committee of Martinsburg gave the owners of Queen Street Gallery and the owners of the building their blessing on the colors. I was at the same meeting as Greg Henry owner of the building at 213 N Queen Street and thought that there might be a little opposition to the chosen colors. Surprisingly there was absolutely none from the committee members.
I am pleased to share that the Exhibitions Art Gallery website has had over a thousand visitors in the past six months. Thats good P.R. for Martinsburg WV.
Tonight I received a call from a gentleman who was inquiring about the gallery and the show currently on display by Sean Kenny. He was surprised that there was actually something of this nature in Martinsburg and he was glad to have somewhere to take his visiting family who are from a large city. It made my night to see that the efforts were for naught.
Sean Michael Kenny installing "Breathe" in Exhibitions Art Gallery. This is our first installation piece in the gallery and hope people will visit Martinsburg to see the exhibit of light and that people living and working in the city will support the gallery by taking the walk downtown.
